Watch Family Guy Season 9 – It’s A Trap

Watch Family Guy Season 9 – It’s A Trap and it's official air date is on December 21, 2010. It’s A Trap doesn’t quite have the comedic value of Blue Harvest, but it’s still got some great moments, such as C-3PO reciting the plot to The Fresh Prince, rather than the battle against the Empire, and Vader trying to turn Luke to the dark side by making fun of Seth Green (who voices Chris/Luke). Like the standard Family Guy, ‘It’s A Trap!’ also has a bunch of cameo voice spots – including Patrick Stewart and Michael Dorn reprising their roles from “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” and Carrie Fisher (Star Wars Trilogy). The upcoming Family Guy – It’s A Trap episode is the sequel of the Star Wars parodies “Blue Harvest” and “Something, Something, Something, Dark Side”.

The episode was directed by Peter Shin and was written by genius minds of by Cherry Chevapravatdumrong and David A. Goodman and directed by Peter Shin. The Family Guy Season 9 – It’s A Trap retell the story of Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi as “Blue Harvest” did with Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope and “Something, Something, Something Dark Side” did with Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back.

Family Guy Season 9 – It’s A Trap Synopsis
In this spectacular and offensively uproarious final chapter, Luke Skywalker (Chris) and Princess Leia (Lois) must travel to Tatooine to free Han Solo (Peter) by infiltrating the wretched stronghold of Jabba the Hutt (Joe), the galaxy’s most loathsome and dreadful gangster. Once reunited, the Rebels team up with a tribe of Ewoks to combat the Imperial forces on the forest moon of Endor. Meanwhile the Emperor (Carter Pewterschmidt) and Darth Vader (Stewie) conspire to turn Luke to the dark side, and young Skywalker is determined to rekindle the spirit of the Jedi within his father. The Galactic Civil War has never been more outrageous, as the Rebel forces gather to attack the seemingly defenseless and incomplete second Death Star in the battle that will determine the fate of the galaxy. (source: Freakinsweetnews.com) Both the Blu-ray and DVD versions, titled Family Guy Presents: It’s a Trap!, are set to be released in Region 1 on December 21, 2010, Region 4, on December 22, 2010, and in Region 2 on December 27, 2010.

Watch Doctor Who – A Christmas Carol

Just few more weeks before Christmas Day and few more weeks before I can Watch Doctor Who – A Christmas Carol (Christmas Special 2010). On Christmas, December 25, 2010 the world’s longest running sci-fi TV series will air its sixth Christmas special with the Doctor Who – A Christmas Carol episode. It is a rendition of “A Christmas Carol” with a time-travel twist. It is Christmas time in the Doctor Who land. Amy and Rory are trapped on a crashing space liner, and the only way The Doctor can rescue them is to save the soul of a lonely old miser, in a festive edition of the time-travelling adventure. And to save Amy and his husband Rory, who is on a spaceship about to crash, the Doctor must save the soul of a lonely rich man in Sardicktown. But is Kazran Sardick, the richest man in Sardicktown, beyond redemption? And what is lurking in the fogs of Christmas Eve?

Really looking forward to this - the sets and lighting look fantastic. Haven't enjoyed a Christmas special since Runaway Bride - in fact, all of the last Tenant special were pretty bad except Waters of Mars - but I think this will be the highlight of the festive season for me. Take a sneak peek at the first official trailer to come from the UK, released for the BBC’s Children in Need telethon. The Doctor Who – A Christmas Carol will star Matt Smith as the Doctor, Karen Gillan as Amy Pond, and Arthur Darvill as Rory Williams as well as guest starring Katherine Jenkins and Michael Gambon. The Doctor Who - Christmas Carol will run for one-hour. This episode was directed by Toby Haynes and written by Steven Moffat. The plot was based on the famous Charles Dickens’ novel, A Christmas Carol. Why Do We Really Need to Read?

The Value Of Reading
Reading sweeps the cobwebs away. What does this mean? "Reading", “enhances thinking. It stretches and strains our mental muscles. It clobbers our brittle, narrow, intolerant opinions with new ideas and strong facts. It stimulates growing up instead of growing old.” How true, indeed, were the words of Francis Bacon when he declared: “Read not to contradict or confute, nor to believe and take for granted, nor to find talk and discourse, but to weigh and consider. Some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed, and some few to be chewed and digested.” In other words, reading expands us. It scratches those itches deep down inside. As John Berger puts it, “When we read a story, we inhabit it. The covers of the book are like a roof and four walls. What is to happen next will take place within the four walls of the story. And this is possible because the story’s voice makes everything its own.”

Reading navigates us through virgin territory we would not otherwise explore. “Reading makes us more interesting to be around,” says another fellow. Have you ever wondered why the boredom factor in social gatherings is so great? After you’ve run through the weather, the kids, the job, and your recent surgery, what else is there? Being a reader adds oil to the friction in conversation. Here are some words of wisdom from the mouth of C. Neil Strait, a famous American author: “The hours spent in reading are investments in tomorrow. For reading sends us into the future with a great reservoir of knowledge from which we can draw at various times.”

But you can be a good reader — if you want to. Allow me to give you some ideas:

First of all, maintain a healthful routine. This simply means that to read at your best, you should be in good physical condition. Most of us read only when we are confined in the hospital or when we are stranded in an island.

One good thing to remember: Do not strain your eyes by reading in poor light or for excessively long periods. If you have not had an eye examination for some time, you should have one now. And if you are abnormally and frequently tired, arrange to have a physical condition.

When reading, avoid unnecessary distractions. Some people I know have trained themselves to read in noisy surroundings. Most persons, however, find it easier to read in a quiet atmosphere, away from disturbing sights and sounds. Quiet music on the radio usually will not interfere - in fact, it is rather an asset than a liability - but most other programs are likely to reduce reading efficiency.

Have a clean objective for your reading. Why do you read? And why do you read that kind of book? When you turn the printed page, you should have in mind a clear purpose for reading. Just saying the words silently while your mind is elsewhere, or when you have no goal for your reading, is a waste of time.

Ask questions while you’re reading; reach out for the answers. Reading is an active process, not a passive one. When you read a short story or a novel, for instance, try to ask yourself: “What will happen next? What will May do; now that June has left her?” When you read a description of a scene, read in order to visualize it in your mind, to fill in the missing details. Make the printed page your servant; do not let it be your master.

Your aim in reading will determine how you read. In some instances, as with an easy story, you will read rapidly, perhaps skipping passages that are not too relevant. At other times, as with a history book, you will read slowly, with careful attention to every detail presented or otherwise you will overlook some necessary information.

Finally, get the habit of reading widely. You can improve your reading ability only by reading profusely. Get the habit of reading a great deal. You may wish to start with a facile material - with the daily newspaper, a popular magazine like Reader’s Digest, or a book of easy short stories.

As you acquire fluency and pleasure in reading, try something complex. Pick an encyclopedia article dealing with a subject that really fascinates you - hunting or fishing, electronics and computers, motion pictures, arts and sciences, or some similar topics.

Try also to scan the pages of a novel that calls for more than customary effort to read - like "Gone With The Wind," "The Good Earth," or some other that your friends highly recommend. Have patience with the book; do not give up after the first few pages. Stay with it for several chapters until you know definitely whether or not you like it. Probably you will find yourself enjoying it.

When you read, don’t just read but think as well. Reading furnishes the mind only with materials of knowledge it is thinking that makes what we read ours.

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hollows Part 1

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hollows Part 1
I think most of you are already excited about this last movie of Harry Potter, though This movie is split in two parts, the Harry Potter And The Deathly Hollows Part 1 will show on November 16, 2010 while the part 2 is next year. The Deathly Hallows is a grand finale. It is a fitting conclusion, filled with darkness and triumph, that will have Potter fans rejoicing. Rowling's narrative is spellbinding, every page seamlessly flowing into the next. She skillfully takes ten years and seven novels to a climax worthy of literary greatness. The movie ends with Voldemort stealing the Elder wand from Dumbledore's tomb?! The wand was on Dumbledore's desk at the end of the HBP movie, with McGonigle asking Harry if he wanted to take it with him. So, WTH?! Ok, picky-picky. And I want to see more Ron/Hermione scenes, too, esp. if they don't make Ron look like a scared little kid, which they've done in the last few movies. Watch Ron in the first movie, and compare that to how he has to act in the others, and you'll wonder what the screenwriters were thinking. This really does sound like the best movie yet. As I read the reviews on this I was very surprised on how many little changes were made, and am very excited to see them on the big screen. I feel that the changes just add to drama that the last book encompassed. I like how they modified Hedwig's death, and added several scenes such as the Hogwarts Express and the little Harry-Hermione 'dance' in the tent. Am a little disappointed that Worm tail didn't die. Harry has finally come of age, and finally started on his final journey to defeat Voldemort for good. The Durselys are forced to go into hiding so that Voldemort’s Death Eaters will not torture them for information, and Harry sets off with Ron and Hermione on a difficult quest to find and destroy the last of Voldemort’s Horcruxes. Only once those have been destroyed, Harry knows, can Voldemort truly be killed. I hope that they did this so they would show it in part 2 in the final battle. That would be cool. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 1, can't wait to see this in November.
