“We are very proud and excited to be the first to offer the Samsung Galaxy Tab that is fully powered by our network and services,” said Orlando B. Vea, Chief Wireless Advisor of Smart.
A new revolution is coming and it is the advent of this new range of portable connectivity and productivity devices. We want the Filipinos to experience the tablet wave with the rest of the world. The Samsung Galaxy Tab has a 7-inch touchscreen, works as a mobile phone, and can run Android applications or programs widely accessible or easily downloadable through the Internet.
It can be used for communication, information, productivity, or entertainment. It functions perfectly whether you’re reading e-books or newspapers, checking your online social networking accounts, listening to music, watching videos, planning your project or reviewing your upcoming presentation.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab also has 2 cameras, one at the back for taking 3-megapixel photos, and one in front for video calling or conferencing. Its information management functions include calendar, phonebook, and e-mail. The tablet computer can also hold navigation programs (maps, GPS), and office document processing tools, and can make file transferring easy with its USB mass storage capability.
Smart said the Samsung Galaxy Tab is free with a Smart Gold Unlimited Data Plan 3000 and up. Interested new subscribers may go to a Smart Wireless Center to avail of the unit. In a statement, the company said its other plans (Plans 1500, 2000, and 4000) are also perfect for the tablet computer's features and services.
They assure that subscribers will fully maximize the functions and appreciate the features of the Galaxy Tab when powered by our unlimited Internet connectivity. There’s just a world of information and services out there that they can access, whether they’re at work, at home and most especially while they’re on the move.
