The ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) confirmed on Saturday morning they have communicated with the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) that the Philippines can host the Finals slated on December 29, granting they meet the requirements.
AFF Suzuki Cup Chairman and AFF Vice-President Ravi Khek said they are awaiting the PFF's formal response within the day.
The requirements include having numbered seats in the stadium, adequate lighting for broadcast television, wifi for the media, and venue security.
"They have enough time. December 29 is when the 2nd Finals game will be played if the Philippines qualifies," Khek said.
Khek also noted that almost everything is set for an agreement that the Philippines will host the group stages of the Suzuki Cup in 2012.
That would mean the Philippines, which now qualified automatically for the 2012 group stages with this semi-final stint, would host 3 teams and would need to prepare suitable venues. By TJ Manotoc, ABS-CBN News
